CRASH KELLY Records Song For AC/DC Tribute Album
October 10, 2007Toronto hard rock quartet CRASH KELLY is featured on the album "High Voltage Box - A Tribute to AC/DC", which will be released on November 20 through Deadline Music/Koch, a division of Cleopatra Records.
CRASH KELLY's contribution comes in the form of the Bon Scott-era track "Shot Down In Flames", which was recorded at Toronto's Signal to Noise Studios with engineer Rob Sanzo. The song is also available on an online compilation called "MetalSchool 101" alongside tracks from such artists as CINDERELLA, Slash (with Roger Daltrey),NIGHT RANGER, Yngwie Malmsteen and Ronnie James Dio, L.A. GUNS and a host of other legendary artists.
As previously reported, CRASH KELLY will release "Love You Electric" in Europe on November 9 through the French label Bad Reputation.
Commented CRASH KELLY frontman Sean Kelly: "The album is a combination of tracks from [previously released CRASH KELLY albums] 'Electric Satisfaction' and 'Penny Pills', as well as some previously unavailable bonus tracks. The album was personally put together by label head Eric Coubard specifically for the European rock and roll market."
"I am very excited about this, as our previous releases never got as much exposure in Europe as I would have liked, even though CRASH KELLY has toured there three times...it is my hope that this will provide the impetus to get back across the pond and lay it down for all you pretty things in Europe again!"
